Buckthorn Bark
Buckthorn Bark, Rhamnus frangulaDescription: Has a gentle stimulating effect on the gastrointestinal tract. It is for appendicitis, bleeding, digestive problems, fever, itching, parasites, lead poisoning, rheumatism, skin diseases, and warts (external use). Good as a laxative and detoxifier. It contains moderate amounts of calcium, phosphorus, and potassium.
Therapeutic Actions: Alternative, Anthelmintic, Bitter, Cathartic, Cholagogue, Depurative, Diuretic, Emetic, Laxative, Tonic, Vermifuge.
In the same family as Cascara Sagrada and having similar properties; however, its action is gentle like Turkey Rhubarb Root. When hot it causes profuse perspiration. Buckthorn contains moderate amounts of calcium, phosphorus, and potassium; small amounts of sodium and chlorine.
Ingredients
Buckthorn Bark, Distilled Water, 20% Alcohol.
Instructions
Use 6-12 drops in juice or water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
