Nettle Leaf
Nettle, Urtica dioica
It is a good blood purifier as well as blood-invigorating.
Internal uses: It has been mainly used for arthritis, gout, anemia, skin disorders, eczema and for nourishment. It has been used for pubescent girls and menopausal women to arrest bleeding from the lungs, stomach and mouth, to reduce hemorrhaging of the urinary system, for gravel and inflammation in the kidneys, to encourage the flow of breast milk and to help lower blood sugar levels. Nettle Leaf has been used to treat rheumatism, kidney and bladder stones and also infections of the kidney and bladder. Nettle Root has been used for prostate complaints and irritable bladder.
Therapeutic actions: Anti-asthmatic; Anti-arthritic; Anti-rheumatic; Analgesic; Anti-inflammatory; Anti-dandruff; Astringent; Diuretic; Galactogogue; Hemostatic; Hypoglycemic; Stings; Tonic.
Nutrients: Calcium, copper, fatty acids, folate, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, sulfur, zinc, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, C and E.
Ingredients
Nettle Leaf, Distilled Water, 20% Alcohol.
Instructions
Use 6-12 drops in juice or water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
Warnings
The fresh leaves have also been employed directly on the arthritic areas - but remember that this plant is also called Stinging Nettles!
