Witch Hazel, Hamamelis virginiana

Therapeutic actions: Astringent, anti-inflammatory, anti-phlogistic, anti-abortive, hemostatic, sedative, stypic, tonic.

Acts as an astringent so it is a valuable external herb.

Internally, it is used for diarrhea, hemorrhage, gonorrhea, relaxed vagina, prolapsed uteri, Crohn's disease and varicose veins.

Used externally as a rinse or gargle for sore throats or as a mouthwash for bleeding gums. A vaginal douche for vaginitis and leucorrhea. Also good as a compress for inflamed bed sores, skin irritations, bruises, bites, stings, minor burns, poison ivy, hemorrhoids, bleeding, varicose veins, and nose bleeds.

Ingredients

Witch Hazel, Distilled Water, 20% Alcohol.

Instructions

Use 6-12 drops in juice, water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
