Periwinkle is mainly for circulatory disorders, especially the brain.
Internal uses: It has been useful in the treatments of diarrhea, hemorrhage and excessive menstrual flow. Studies have shown it to be effective for chorio-carcinoma, Hodgkin's disease and possibly other forms of cancer. It has been beneficial to help stop bleeding in the nose and mouth. The tea may also be used for nervous conditions and hysteria. It has also been used for diabetes, memory loss, cystitis, gastritis and enteritis; as well as Alzheimers, diarrhea, glaucoma, stroke and tinnitus.
External uses: The juice of leaves has helped to treat wasp stings. It has also been used as a gargle for sore throats. For toothaches, the herb can be chewed.
Ingredients
Periwinkle, Distilled Water, 20% Alcohol.
Instructions
Use 6-12 drops in juice or water, under the tongue or as desired. May be taken 3 times daily. Shake well. Store in cool dark place. Keep out of reach of children.
Warnings
CAUTION: People with low blood pressure or hypotension should not use this herb. Flushed skin, skin rash and upset stomach have been reported while using this herb.
